Westhoughton car crash victim dies
A 65-YEAR-OLD man who was hit by a car just minutes from his home on Friday night has died.
Maurice Isherwood died in hospital in the early hours of this morning.
He was hit by a Toyota Aygo just after in Leigh Road, Westhoughton, just after 9pm on Friday and was taken to Salford Royal Hospital after suffering bleeding to the brain, a fractured pelvis and a collapsed lung.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “We can confirm that the 65 year old man who was hit by a car in Westhoughton on Friday night has sadly died.”
