Blackburn Cathedral to host art exhibition inspired by grief

BLACKBURN Cathedral is hosting a textile exhibition born out of tragic circumstances.
Good Grief? is a collection of work by Jacqui Parkinson, which stemmed from the death of her husband in 2007.
In her time of mourning, the Manchester-born artist began to stitch onto antique handkerchiefs as an outlet for her feelings.
The exhibition of textile art is currently touring UK cathedrals.
The display hopes to give people a new way to look at the process of life, while speaking to people in a time of loss.
The collection will be in Blackburn Cathedral from October 2 until November 14.
For further information about the exhibition, contact Canon Ian Stockton on 01254 503090.
