A LONG established Rawtenstall car garage has moved premises.
Holmefield Garage, owned by Barry Meeks for more than 50 years, has a new home at The Corn Exchange workshops in Burnley Road.
The business was previously based at the Shell petrol station on the same street.
A spokesman for B&E Boys, which will let the new workshop to the firm, said: “When the lease expired on his garage, which provides car servicing, MOT test and car repairs, Barry realised that The Corn Exchange was the ideal location for his existing business.
“Only a short distance away from his current garage, unit eight will provide the space which Holmefield Garage needs to continue completing services and MOTs, as it has recently received approval from the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA).”
The spokesman added that equipment was currently being installed and the garage should re-open within ‘a number of weeks’.
