THE Campaign for Real Ale group in East Lancashire has secured 90 quality ales from across the country to feature at Burnley Beer Festival, opening today.
The second official CAMRA beer festival, to be held at the Mechanics theatre, will also have a wide selection of ciders, bottled beers, soft drinks, food, live music and commemorative glasses on offer until the festival closes on Saturday night.
A spokesman for the festival said: “Although the town has played host to several cask ale events over the past decade, this is only the second time the Campaign for Real Ale has put on the show, and what a show it’s set to be.”
Tickets cost £3 a day, and £1 for NUS and CAMRA members. Doors to the Mechanics will open at noon and close at 11pm.
