AUDITIONS for two youth productions in Oswaldtwistle will be held at the weekend.
Young people aged between eight and 15 have been invited to audition for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Friday from 4.30pm to 7.30pm.
The show will be performed in December and costs £2.50 a week for participants to attend.
And on Sunday, youngsters aged between four and 17 can audition for a Snow White pantomime, although only those aged eight plus can be cast in a main role.
Auditionees will be seen individually between 2pm and 5pm.
One song can be prepared and script reading may be required.
There are rehearsal and costume fees and the show will also be performed in December.
Both auditions and the performances will be held at the Civic Arts Centre.
Director of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the centre’s creative director, Gayle Knight, said: “The reason we have two shows running at the same time is because we know some people like to be in plays whereas others prefer musicals. This way everyone gets to do whichever they prefer.”
Also being rehearsed at the Civic Arts Centre is St Mary's panto group’s production of Cinderella, which will be performed in January.
