A WOMAN who was airlifted to hospital after a heart attack has thanked her rescuers.
Community care worker Christine Hunter was seeing a patient when she started feeling unwell.
She said: “I started to feel some pangs so I made my excuses and left. As I was driving, I pulled over and called an ambulance.”
Mrs Hunter, 50, who lives in Burnley, was taken by helicopter from the school field of Marsden Heights Community College to Blackpool’s Victoria Hospital. She was discharged on Monday and has made a full recovery. She said: “The care I received was exemplary and I would like to thank everyone who helped me.”
