WEDDING day excitement affects most brides - and at the age of 74, Ellen Loughlin is no different.

Mrs Loughlin will walk down the aisle for the second time on Sunday to marry her partner of 20 years, Dennis Wolfenden.

The couple, who live in Aintree Road, Little Lever, met on their coffee break while working in the same Swinton factory 25 years ago.

When Mrs Loughlin's first husband died in 1981, Mr Wolfenden visited her and took her for meals to cheer her up.

They eventually became a couple and he proposed on her 70th birthday, in front of her friends and family, at a surprise party.

The wedding ceremony will be held at Bolton's Albert Halls.

Mrs Loughlin, who has three children, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, said: "I can't wait to be his wife. I'm very excited to be walking down the aisle again."
