THE Salvation Army in Clitheroe is appealing for more members of its ‘special needs church’ which offers services designed around different needs.
The group, which is based in Lowergate, holds the sessions entitled ‘Just For You’ on the last Sunday of every month but has seen a fall in membership over the last few months.
The services, which last around half an hour, also include games and are tailored around the needs of people with learning difficulties or who are physically disabled.
Captain Elizabeth Smith said: “These services are really good fun and a joy to hold at our church.
“The problem is people don’t know they are happening and they would be a great thing for many people to get involved in.
“We would love more people coming along because we all have a great time and it’s a good way for people to get introduced to others.”
The next session will take place on September 1, from 4pm.
