Complaints over loud music at Burnley concert

BURNLEY Council is looking into complaints about noise nuisance from several residents following a concert in Bank Hall on Saturday night.
Residents complained that loud dance music could be heard as far away as Daneshouse and Brunshaw and some even called police, suspecting that an illegal rave was being held.
Residents said that music was so loud that it could even be heard inside their houses.
A Burnley Council spokesperson said it had received calls about the noise and the noise nuisance team was looking into how this can be prevented in future.
A police spokeswoman said : “It was a licensed music event at Bank Hall and finished at 11pm. “There were no issues.”
