VETERAN TV personality and DJ Sir Jimmy Savile will be visiting Earby at the weekend to open a new restaurant in the town.
The first ever Top of the Pops presenter has fixed it for Leeds restaurateurs Shayasta and Asu Miah to have an extra-special opening night on Sunday for their Chilli Pepper venture in Victoria Road.
He will be the guest of honour at a by-invitation-only preview, where he will be joined by Earby councillors and other Pendle personalities, as well as kicking off the new business, which will open to the public from Monday.
The restaurant will serve authentic Bangladeshi and Pakistani food.
Sir Jim will be at the restaurant from 4pm to 6pm.
