THAI boxing coach Sandy Holt visited pupils at Masefield Primary School, Little Lever, as part of an anti-bullying campaign.
Mr Holt, who runs Bolton Thai Boxing Club, gave a demonstration and spoke to pupils about the different ways of dealing with bullying.
Mr Holt said he suffered at the hands of bullies when he was a teenager and turned to kickboxing as a way to increase his confidence and self esteem.
"I have always campaigned against bullying because I know how it feels," he said. "The most important thing is to tell somebody what is happening to you - either a teacher or your parents - and get help. Thai boxing is a great way to build up your self esteem and learn how to protect yourself."
