ACCRINGTON will welcome one of the country’s top chefs when Ed Baines, from ‘Britain’s Best Dish’, arrives at the 16th Lancashire Food Festival.

The event, next month, will help celebrate the county’s produce and Ed, who runs a champagne and oyster bar in London’s West End, will be at the festival all weekend performing three demonstrations each day.

More than 50 exhibitors from Lancashire, and beyond, will also be on hand to tempt visitors with dishes ranging from the famous Lancashire hotpot, to hand-reared beef, and Lancashire kippers.

The festival, at Accrington Town Hall, is organised by Hyndburn Leisure. It runs from 10am to 3.30pm on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14.

Admission is £1, and under-16s go free when accompanied by an adult.

Tickets for Ed’s cookery demonstrations are now on sale. Call 01254 380293 or visit www.hyndburnleisure. co.uk/lancashirefoodfestival for more information.
