Business adviser appointed to help Chorley firms

A business adviser has been appointed to help businesses in Chorley.
The council role, created to offer support and advice to established businesses, is in addition to an existing service which helps start-up businesses.
Alice Grieve has been appointed in the role to provide free and impartial support for any Chorley firms trading for more than three years.
She will advise on finance for business development and growth and lead a quarterly Choose Chorley for Business Network, bringing together local firms, suppliers and customers.
There will also be a series of ‘Boost your Business’ seminars to helps firms learn new skills and share knowledge. Eight are planned later this year.
Coun Adrian Lowe, who oversees business for the council, said: “We appointed Paul Heyworth last summer to help start-up and businesses up to three years old, and Alice’s appointment to help established businesses who’ve traded for more than three years was the obvious next step.”
