Post office closure sparks concerns

ELDERLY residents have raised concerns about the temporary closure of a Farnworth post office.
The post office, in Brackley Street, will be closed from Wednesday, March 20, and reopen on Monday, April 8 for a major refurbishment.
But pensioners say the 20-day closure will be a huge inconvenience for people who are less mobile.
One 80-year-old resident, who did not want to be named, said: “I am very worried about this closure and think a lot of elderly people are going to be very inconvenienced.
“Many people collect there pension from Farnworth post office and would struggle to walk to the one in Kearsley or Plodder Lane.”
Once the revamp is completed, the post office will have six serving positions and will be open on Saturdays.
Regional network manager Adrian Wales, from the Post Office, said: “We understand how important having a post office is to residents in Farnworth and we are confident that this new modern service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.
“We apologise to customers for the inconvenience during refurbishment.”
The modernisation is part of a three-year investment programme, said to be the largest in the history of the Post Office, that will see about 6,000 branches refurbished.

If you can not get the VERY basics of grammar correct you should not be in the business you are in. Just in case you don't know what I am getting at, it should be 'their' AND NOT 'there'. I have understood the different versions of there, their and they're since I was six years old.
