Car overturns after hitting tree in Burnley

A CAR has overturned after knocking over a tree in Burnley this morning.
The Nissan Note vehicle struck the tree on Florence Avenue in Burnley, with tree then falling onto the car.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident at 11.50am with reports that the driver was trapped in the vehicle.
However, a spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said that on arrival the male driver had been able to escape from the car and was being assessed for any injuries.
Recovery services were then called to clear both the car and the tree.
