Drunken ex-soldier from Burnley was upset at comrade's death

AN ex-soldier found drunk was upset over the death of a former comrade in combat, a court was told.

Steven Woods, 36, of Bivel Street, Burnley, said to suffer from post traumatic stress disorder, admitted being drunk and disorderly on Owen Street, Burnley, on January 26.

The defendant, now a law student, was fined £35, with £85 costs and must pay a £20 victim surcharge.
