Motorcyclist killed in Altham accident

A motorcyclist has been killed in an accident this morning.

The incident happened on the A678 Burnley Road, outside the Walton Arms pub in Altham.

Burnley Road was closed from just before 8am until 10.15am, between the junctions with Altham Lane and Simonstone Lane.

Police, who are investigating the cause of the accident, said they were contacting the man's next of kin.

RIP to this gentleman & deepest sympathy to his family..I was riding my bike home from work and saw the aftermath of this tragic accident.. Could tell it was a nasty one.

So so sad,poor lad just a day into the new year,god give his family strength to cope with there tragic loss,(not nice getting that knock on your door,I know it so well and will never forget it)my brother was 18 when he got killed on his motorbike;(((,RIP young man ****
