East Lancashire men told to be more healthy (From This Is Lancashire)

Free advice on all health related issues but not alas free prescriptions unless you are on benefits. As a hard working member of society it really does make me angry when I see people who are capable of working recieving free prescriptions when working people, including myself, cannot have them. The system is the wrong way around. Even people who should not be in the country are recieving free medication which I as a taxpayer have to fund. Disgusting! Not to mention all the free NHS medication that is being sent out of the country. Truly Disgusting! Bring back means testing privatise the NHS and I mean all of it, tighten up immigration laws and remove benefits from scroungers! The current system is infested with fraud and free loaders.

Can't beleive deo volente angry because people who are on benefits get free presciptions these people are on the breadline either unemployed or too ill to work, could i suggest mr deo volente some empathy because no all people on benifits are scroungers and one day you may end up on benefits yourself.

Judging by the ill informed rant of Mr Deo Volente I would urge him not to believe all he reads in the media about benefits. Prescriptions are free in Scotland and capped in Wales, But not in England. funny that, I noticed you mention NHS medicines being sent abroad, Have you any evidence of this or are you taken in by the innuendo of the right wing ? So you would like to privatise the NHS, This is the best asset this country has. In your ideal world the poor would be left to die because it is their own fault somehow.You say the benefit system is infested with fraud, if you know of any then report it, I suspect you don't but just rely on press reports and hearsay. If you want to see fraud just look at the big companies or the rich Bankers or business people who screw the system and are looked upon as clever. I think your rant has exposed the real you, a nasty vindictive person who hides behind a keyboard. If you don't like the the NHS or the welfare system in this country simply go and live somewhere else.

Oh dear I have certainly touched a raw nerve here have I not. It appears that "maverick" left wing chicken wing" has got a little upset. As previously stated as a hard working "contributing" British subject I have to pay for my prescriptions. As also stated those on benefits capable of working (scroungers) do not. This is wrong.wrong,wrong on every level. As also stated people who have no legal right to be in the U.K are recieving prescriptions that they are not entitled to and the NHS is supplying prescriptions, via the taxpayer, to people who send them to other countries. In addition what is wrong with right wing? It is "right" after all and every good team always has a good old fashioned "right winger". "The NHS is the best asset this country has" then we are in trouble are we not? The NHS is a disgrace, full of overpaid bed pan emptiers who are patently unfit to do the jobs they have been given, providing free treatment to those not entitled to be treated, PFI funding that has left many trusts facing bankruptcy (take a bow New Labour), bogus doctors, bogus nurse, employing "health professionals" who cannot speak English. The list goes on and on. Privatise it immediately! In addition as we all know the benefit system is infested with fraud including large scale fraud by "foreign" criminas and "foreign" criminal gangs. Nasty? Possibly, Vindictive? Possibly, but compliments will get you nowhere! Right? I most definately am. As for "hiding behind a keyboard" I am merely voicing my honestly held opinion in a country that virtually single handedly gave the World civilisation, including free speech. I dont like the NHS or the benefit system which is why I helped to elect the Conservatives into power. That is called democracy, that is the way that we do things in the U.K. In fact we have a long tradition of democracy. As part of the attentive elite it gives me great pleasure to see the current benefit reforms whereby the "free ride" is coming to an end.
