Burnley shopkeeper sold fake cigarettes

A SHOPKEEPER has been left with a £650 legal bill after being caught selling rogue cigarettes and tobacco at a Burnley store.
Iqbal Begum, 56, of Moneysave Convenience Store, in Lyndhurst Road, was convicted by Reedley magistrates of supplying Jin Ling cigarettes, three times, without health warnings, and later also Regal cigarettes and hand-rolling tobacco in similar circumstances.
Begum also pleaded guilty to possession of Regal cigarettes with false trade marks and was fined £325 with £325 costs in a Lancashire County Council prosecution.
