Paralympic stars will switch on Chorley's Christmas lights

Chorley’s three medal-winning Paralympian athletes have the honour of switching on the town’s Christmas lights this year.
Borough residents, sprinter Graeme Ballard, and married couple swimmer Natalie Jones and cyclist Rik Waddon, will take to the stage on November 24.
The athletes will also be presented with a special Sporting Ambassador award to thank them for representing the town and inspiring others.
The stage show will kick off at 4pm on Market Street where an action-packed line-up is planned including Abba Forever and Lady Gaga tribute, acts the return of Chorley’s X Factor finalist, Jonjo Kerr and panto previews.
Rik Waddon, said: “We are really excited to switch on this year’s Christmas lights. It’s good to put Chorley on the map with so many great achievements from London 2012.”
Graeme added: “I am delighted and privileged to switch on the lights.”
