FAMILY and friends of a Blackburn man who died from heart failure have raised cash for charity in his memory.
Following the death of 36-year-old John “Lenny” Lenehan his wife Katherine, daughter Bethany and son Luke have collected almost £5,000 for the British Heart Foundation.
The Mill Hill dad died of serious heart condition, Sarcoidosis and Cardiomyopathy in March.
Walking from Preston to Blackburn, 26 people gathered at the HSS Hire shop in Preston where John was a manager back to The Brown Cow Public in Livesey Branch Road.
Steve Weir, a friend of Mr Lenehan, said he had helped with the charity walk. He said: “I can’t believe the support that we have had from people and the money is still coming in.
“I think we will be making it an annual walk so that we can raise more money and remember a good person.”
