Firefighters free trapped dog

MAN’S best friend needed a helping hand from firefighters after getting its paw trapped in a car seat.

The owner of a Samoyed dog called Tusker needed the help of fire crews at Farnworth Fire Station at 6.50pm on Friday evening after the 16-year-old pooch got stuck.

Watch commander Kevin Wright said: “It’d got its paw stuck between the seat and the seat mechanism and I think its owner just panicked. I don’t know if they were driving past or just drove here, but we managed to adjust the seat and release its paw without causing the dog much distress.”
