Burnley MP presents his first Bill

BURNLEY MP Gordon Birtwistle has presented his first Bill to the House of Commons, calling for better career advice for youngsters aged 12 to 16.

He said: “It was great, if a little nerve-wracking, to do my first ten-minute rule bill, but I chose an issue which I am passionate about.

“Good careers advice is essential to ensuring that students leave school with the knowledge and skills that are relevant to the careers they wish to undertake."

wow, how radical. maybe it would be better to ensure kids had the option of a proper job when leaving school.

I told my kids to be self-employed and pay as little tax possible. Pay for their own healthcare, pensions and so on.
Work for yourself is the best advice I ever got.
