A schoolgirl almost died when she was accidentally'hanged' while playing in a Bury park.
Paiton Isherwood, aged 12, was left gasping for breath for several minutes suspended on straps attached ot a zip wire at Springs Community Park in Grundy Lane.
Her parents, Stuart and Lisa, believe she would have died if it were not for the quick actions of two passers-by.
Medical staff feared the worst when she was rusged to hospital but Paiton escaped with only minor injuries.
Ms Ishaerwood, of Greenside Chase, Bury, said: "If she had been unconscious any longer, it would have been a different story."
Paiton, a pupil at Castlebrook High School, had been playing at the park with her sister Destiny, aged 13, and brother McKenzie, aged nine.
Iti s thought she slipped while holding on to the strap which was tied into a loop and is believed to have been attached ot the zip wire handle by other youths.
McKenziie ran home to get help and Paiton was spotted by passers-by Simon Fargher and David Piling who rescued her.
