A MAN has been rescued from a fire in Blackburn town centre.

Fire crews were called after smoke was seen coming from an upstairs printing business in Northgate.

Firefighters rescued a man from the first floor property at 2pm.

Two crews attended the blaze, which saw the first floor severely damaged by heat and smoke.

The rescued man was taken by ambulance to Royal Blackburn Hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

Two crews attended the blaze????? Good old LT getting it wrong again! Yes it shows 2 in your picture but you obviously turned up as they had already packed up and started to leave!

Picture the scene.....
Your thriving business has just suffered a severe setback due to fire. You are, to say the least, somewhat shocked.
Along comes person "know it all", casting aspersions as to the reasons for the fire.
You ask, naturally, why someone would do that to a thriving business, only to get the throw away comment "because insurance is easier" (which I note has now been removed by the powers that be, along with the response).
In the circumstances, I think I short, terse response is entirely understandable. If it had been my house / business which had gone up in smoke, I think I would have done the same with as much, if not more, bad language.
