REALITY TV icon Joey Essex is set to host a red-carpet party for star-crossed wannabes in Burnley.

The promoter, who stars in ITV2’s The Only Way Is Essex, has hired out the former Fusion nightclub in Hammerton Street for the ‘celebrity’ June 8 gathering.

And Essex, 21, is promising to give the VIP treatment to clubbers attending the £10-a-head bash, with a ‘paparazzi’ packed entrance.

Free champagne and canapes will be on offer inside, alongside a UV party and snow machines, with leading club DJs on the bill.

Before achieving fame with the reality television series, now in its fifth season, Essex made his living as a club promoter.

He has become one of the leading lights of the show, with his catchphrase, ‘I’m looking reem’.

The bash, one of several being staged up and down the country, is under the banner ‘The Only Way Is Reem’.

Despite officially closing two years ago the celebrity booking is another notable one-off for the former Fusion nightspot.

Just last week DJs staged a reunion night for Burnley clubbing favourite Angels at the converted church.

The owners are still believed to be on the lookout for a permanent tenant for the landmark building.
