Former X Factor star Ray Quinn has joined the cast of new stage musical, Summer Holiday.
The singer and dancer will take on the lead role of Don, made famous by Cliff Richard in the acclaimed Sixties film of the same name.
Quinn – who shot to fame after finishing as runner-up on the X Factor in 2006 – has previously starred as Danny Zuko in a West End production of Grease and has had roles in Dirty Dancing, Legally Blonde and The Wedding Singer.
Summer Holiday follows Don and his fellow London Transport mechanics as they end up journeying through Paris, the Alps, Italy and Greece in a red double-decker bus, picking up a young American pop star on the way.
The musical will tour the UK from May with further casting to be announced.
