Rumours are rife as to which celebs might be in talks to brave the Big Brother house this summer.

After American gossip blogger Perez Hilton’s fiery clashes with Katie Hopkins pulled in the viewers in January, Channel 5 are said to be planning a UK vs USA theme for the next instalment of the reality show.

But which US and British stars are in negotiations to battle it out to be named Celebrity Big Brother winner? Here’s a look at some of the names being bandied about.

Dina Lohan

The pushy mum and former manager of her famous daughter Lindsay Lohan is reported to have already signed up to represent the US in CBB this summer.

Dina is no stranger to reality TV, having appeared with model daughter Ali in E! series Living Lohan. And with Li-Lo now living in London following her stint in the West End, maybe Dina has decided the UK is the place to be. But her rep told the Mirror: “Dina’s not in negotiations with CBB.”

Apprentice contestant James Hill

Motormouth James certainly proved he liked the sound of his own voice when he appeared in BBC show The Apprentice last year. And Lord Sugar has said he was not happy about certain contestants who seemed they were just taking part to get famous, and not because they were interested in winning a business partnership with him. Could he have meant James?

The super-confident smooth talker certainly likes to flirt, so Big Brother could be hoping to spark an in-house romance.

Keeley Hazell

Glamour modelling has a short shelf life, so no doubt Keeley is looking to branch out.

Bosses are probably hoping she will provide some eye candy, sunbathing in the garden, and possibly spark the interest of red-blooded young males in the house like James.

David Hasselhoff

In January, Jeremy Jackson, who played The Hoff’s on-screen son Hobie Buchanan in Baywatch, took part in CBB UK, only to get booted out for bad behaviour.

Now it’s rumoured David is planning to represent the Baywatch alumni in the house himself. If this rumour is true then we’ll definitely be tuning in for some Hoff TV gold.

Towie’s Gemma Collins

The Only Way Is Essex star Gemma’s last attempt to compete in a reality show ended in disaster, when she quit I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! after just three days.

Even though Big Brother contestants are forced to live on a limited food budget if they fail their weekly tasks, perhaps she’ll fair better in the house.

Janice Dickinson

Unlike Gemma, 60-year-old American model Janice tackled the jungle challenges head on when she took part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2009.

According to The Sun, Janice is demanding a whopping £300k to enter the house – but the hard-nosed diva is bound to cause plenty of fireworks.

Eamonn Holmes

The 55-year-old TV presenter has claimed he has been asked to take part in CBB, but wife Ruth Langsford has banned him from taking up the offer.

Cheery chap Eamonn recently revealed: “I have been asked to do Celebrity Big Brother and I say to Ruth, ‘I don’t think we can ignore this now.’ She is like, ‘That is not happening. I am not having people see what you’re really like. You and your underwear’.”

Farrah Abraham

Reality star Farrah, 23, made her name in US shows 16 And Pregnant and Teen Mom. And scandal is never far away from Farrah – who has admitted to hiring a porn actor to make a sex tape with her, so she could leak it in a bid to make money.

A large fee from CBB could help Farrah provide for six-year-old daughter Sophia, but will she want to be parted from her for that long?
