The cloud of gloom hanging over England threatens to turn even the best men sad.
Recession, mortgages, credit… a never-ending list of serious, important things to be bothered about.
Fortunately the Americans are here to save us again in the form of Blue Man Group, a comedy theatre troupe who are the States’ answer to Vic and Bob.
It’s very much a Shooting Stars on stage, and the only thing missing is Arrested Development’s Tobias up there with them.
The comedy expertly walks the fine line between absurdity and poignancy, touching on dark subjects with the faint hand of an artist.
By equal measure the show embraces Guitar Hero rock at its best, with a backing band lifted straight from the game and excellent audience participation.
Even if you are truly miserable and consumed with thoughts of recession, the sight of three small bald men with blue skin should tweak some small nerve of humour in you.
I would genuinely recommend Blue Man Group to everyone.
