From Bill Austin, Blackburn.
As we look into the future
The day will soon be here
When petrol will be rather scarce
And what's left is very dear.
Car engines must be modified
To run on waste I'm sure
Some to work on chicken muck
And all grades of manure.
Some dung will be imported
The solid and the loose
So get your car adapted
There will be no excuse.
Filling up your fuel tank
Or so the story goes
Requires a pair of gardening gloves
And a peg upon your nose.
Attendants at the service point
Trained to something new
Asking "if you're having camel dung
"Is is one hump sir, or two?"
