THREE budding chefs from the Ribble Valley were given a chance to test their culinary skills as part of an ITV1 programme.
The trio were invited to take part in There’s No Taste Like Home, a cookery show in which celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo goes on a nationwide hunt to celebrate home cooks, and their incredible family heritage dishes.
Bruno Paillusson cooked up Grandmere Emilienne’s veal comtoise, Julie Whalley made her Granny Annie’s Lancashire fish pie, and Recep Legard rustled up Great Grandma Dondu’s Antep-style Turkish chicken.
Mr Paillusson’s veal was declared the winning dish by the chef.
It will be available on the menu at The Spread Eagle, in Sawley, where the TV filming took place.
The episode was screened earlier this week.
