BEAUJOLAIS has been in the news recently with hefty fines for France's biggest producer found guilty (under some archaic rules) of illegally mixing different vintages.
But here's a good example of a reasonably-priced product of the Gamay grape from the Morgon region where wines are heavier and lean towards Burgundy and Pinot Noir.
