Yes, yes, yes! The stage adaptation of the delightful, iconic, romantic comedy film classic, When Harry Met Sally is at Preston Charter Theatre this week.

Starring ex-Hollyoaks’ actress Sarah Jayne Dunn and ex-Coronation Street star Rupert Hill in the roles made famous by Meg Ryan - you’ve seen the café scene, and yes, it’s included in the show - and Billy Crystal, the show features a soundtrack by jazz star Jamie Cullum and his brother Ben.

The blurb says: “The first time they met they hated each other.

“The second time they met, he didn’t remember her and she hated him.

“The third time they met, they became friends and they were friends for a long time.

“Then they weren’t.

“Then they fell in love - and it only took 12 years and three months.”

Sarah Jayne starred as Mandy Richardson in Hollyoaks, first spending 10 years on the soap, from 1996, and returning in 2008 for a six-month stint which saw her have an affair with her best friend’s fiancé. Other stage outings have included UK tours of comedy Boeing Boeing and The Vagina Monologues.

Rupert Hill played Street lothario Jamie Baldwin for four years, and now leads a group called Yellow Dog.
