Local independent estate agent, Gascoigne Halman, has again been successful at the Estate Agency of the Year Awards, which are run in association with The Sunday Times and The Times.

Gascoigne Halman received the silver award for Best Medium-Sized Estate Agency (Northern).

This latest success comes hot on the heels of the estate agent winning Relocation Agent Network’s prestigious 2012 Best Agent Cheshire and North Wales Regional Award in November.

John Halman, managing director, and fellow director Peter Higham travelled to London to collect the award at a glittering ceremony at the Lancaster Hotel.

The pair were delighted to be presented with their award by Olympic swimmer, Rebecca Adlington, OBE. The awards ceremony was the culminating event of a rigorous and thorough judging process carried out over a four-month period by a panel of industry experts, who assessed initial entry submissions before conducting an extensive review of the entrants, which included hundreds of telephone interviews and mystery shopping exercises. In making the award to Gascoigne Halman the judges said the company was ‘an extremely professional agency which has a profound understanding of how to make a business work well.’ They also noted Gascoigne Halman’s commitment to customer service and their customer service charter.

The judges went on to praise the team for its ‘prolific’ fundraising and working hard for charity. John Halman said: “We are absolutely delighted to once again have our work recognised by these prestigious awards.

“Receiving the award was a fitting end to what has been another successful year.

“The award bears testament to the dedication and hard work of the team, and is a ringing endorsement for everything we do.”
