Ross Worswick is set to make the jump to the Formula Renault UK Championship, which starts at Brands Hatch this weekend.
Worswick, from Blackburn, was a front-runner in last year's Formula Renault BARC Championship.
And after extensive pre-season testing, Worswick is confident about his debut at a circuit he won at last season.
"The opposition is of the highest standard and I may find it hard, but I am up for the challenge and I will always be aiming for the top," he said.
