St Annes' swimming pool could close earlier than July 31 if staff leave for other jobs.
Six staff must be employed at the pool under safety guidelines and there are just seven current staff.
If more staff find other employment prior to the closure, it could be forced to shut early.
Councillor Simon Renwick, cabinet member for culture and tourism, said: "If the staff leave we cannot run a pool. Then an urgent decision would have to be made."
