CLLR David Wilkinson believes that Bolton does not suffer a problem with council-owned road signs, and he may well be correct.
But does he agree with the 36 cyclist signs in the two-mile stretch of the ring road between Chorley Old Road and Blackburn Road?
At the roundabout on Chorley Old Road, we have two lit signs to tell us we are approaching a roundabout — one before the very large direction sign, then one on the other side, actually after the large sign.
There are many, many cases of unnecessary signs.
