Look who’s back in action

WHAT a difference a few years makes. One of the last occasions four-time World Superbike champion Carl Fogarty raced in public, it was in front of 120,000 people at Brands Hatch in 1999 before he announced his retirement in 2000.

This Is Lancashire:

But on Sunday he was spotted competing in front of a handful of people in the East Lancs Twin Shock Motorcycle Scramble in a field at Clayton-le-Dale.

Event organiser Ken Sourbutts said: "He used to ride a scramble bike to keep fit and it was a real coup to have him enter the competition at the weekend."
