FAREWELL: I start this week with the sad news that we have to say farewell to Captains Jamie and Claire Hill, ministers at The Salvation Army in Mulfords Hill, Tadley.

It only seems a year or so ago that I was writing a welcome article - that was four-and-a-half years ago!

During the time they have been with us, they have been a great asset to the town and excellent and hard-working ambassadors for The Salvation Army Church.

Jamie, Claire, Joshua and Luke are off to pastures new in Sholing, Southampton.

A big thank you for all the hard work you have both done for the town since you have been with us.

The good news is we say hello to Captains Paul and Glenda Holifield, who are currently serving as regional officers on the Isle of Wight.

They will be taking up their post with us at their welcome meeting on Sunday, August 6.

TADLEY branch of The Royal British Legion: Invites you to a display of literature and information concerning welfare and recruitment, as well as how and where the Poppy Appeal money is spent to help ex-service personnel and their families.

The display starts on Monday and runs for another week in the library.

For more details, call Alf Rolfe on 0118 9814621.

BOUNDARY Hall site: Leaflets have gone out throughout the town to invite you to an exhibition to look at ideas for the development of the Boundary Hall site.

The organisers hope that the proposals will be of interest to the local community and they welcome the opportunity to discuss their plans with you.
