AMIR Khan's wife has spoken out for the first time since she made a bitter attack on the star boxer's family on social media.
Faryal Makhdoom Khan shared angry accusations in a series of online posts.
The model and make-up artist raged against Amir's sisters, 30-year-old Tabinda and 19-year-old Mariyah, as well as her parents-in-law, Falek and Shah.
Faryal, who lives in Lostock with her husband and two-and-a-half-year-old daughter Lamaisah, spoke to the Bolton News before boarding a flight to New York today.
The 25-year-old, who married the two-time world champion boxer in 2013, said: “I just want to live a peaceful life with my husband and child. I want my husband to be the best he can be — the best Amir Khan he has ever been and I will support him."
Amir's father Shah said: "At the end of the day, Amir is my son. That will never change. Obviously she is his wife and our daughter-in-law and nobody can change that.
"I hope they live happily ever after."
Faryal’s posts have been viewed more than 140,000 times on Snapchat and she has received hundreds of messages from her followers.
